Well, I have been reading this book for a really long time. I've been reading it since the first day of school. It's pretty long, but I just can't finish it. I kind of think it gets annoying how Astrid just ends up going to different foster homes. She lives with a couple, Claire and Ron, and she actually likes them now. Claire and Ron have a very close relationship, although Claire does not get to see Ron all the time. They are both in the acting business, so Ron is always on the go.
I think Claire is way too nice sometimes, though. Not to Astrid, but to other people. One day, she was walking around the town with Astrid, and a homeless man started talking to her. He practically wanted her to take her clothes off for him, but of course, she refused to. She let him smell her hair and say things to her. I think that's a little creepy.
I honestly think that Astrid will do something bad which will make her end up in a different foster home. She seems like she can just never keep being a good child. I hope she get's to see her mother soon. She has been thinking about her all the time, and she hasn't been getting any letters from her either.
OH MY GOSH!!!! Reading this gave me and image of Claire and I laughed at the thought of her because what you said she did was really crazy. I imagined what else she might do and it was hilarious. I really want to read this book now because it sounds like Astrid is having a really hard time and I would like to know if she ever gets through it.
