This is a painting by Ad Reinhardt. It is untitled. I honestly think that this painting has a meaning behind it. Ad Reinhardt couldn't have just decided to paint it without a meaning. He had to use specific materials to create this. I think the meaning of this painting is meant to be like a maze.
I think that this painting acts as if a maze because of its structure and colors. The structure and the way Reinhardt painted it is as if it has no end. You can't find your way out. The colors are bright and vivid, like they are flashing. They mix in so they could attract the reader in.
I think that Reinhardt was feeling trapped when he painted this. When you're in a maze, you're trapped inside without a way out. You have to find your way out. I think he was in some sort of situation where he was stuck in the middle of something and just had to find his own way out of it.
