Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly.

In the book Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, the protagonist, Andi, is basically on the edge. She's mad at her own father for leaving her family. He's a scientist and he's always on the go. She's mad at her mother for not being able to handle the fact that her husband is gone. And she's mad at the world for taking away her brother, Truman. He died getting hit by a car. She's on medications for depression, and they still don't make her feel a bit better.

I feel as if Andi is a very strong person. She goes through all this pain and strife. And although she still has depression, and still has visions of her brother, she still represents a strong character. Her only way to express her feelings is playing guitar with her guitar teacher, Nathan. Nathan is 70 years old, but in the words of Andi, he's one of the best guitar teachers out there.
I also feel as if Andi is just in grief. She's suffered such a hard, complicated loss. Losing a sibling is one of the worst losses. Someone you love so much, just gone in a second. And the thing is, Andi didn't have a chance to say goodbye, or say that she loved him. I have a connection. In the very beginning of 7th grade, I lost my best friend. She died of brain cancer. She was only 15 years old. And to be honest, it was the hardest thing I have ever gone through in my whole life. It came unexpectedly, and so fast. I didn't have a chance to say goodbye, either.

In conclusion, I think Andi is an extremely strong character. For someone to go through this and still have to strength to help their mother go through this is absolutely amazing.

You're post was really touching, it showed your genuine sorrow for this character and what she's going through.
